An interview with Philip Cottrell, Director of IT, Woodsworth College

Tell us about your company and the challenges you  faced before we completed this work?

Woodsworth College currently hosts 5 critical websites, all published using ExpressionEngine.   All had been developed in house, but we got to the point where we wanted to exploit some of the more advanced features of the software.  As our in-house responsibilities extend far beyond web development, we decided we needed some expert help.

Why did you choose to work with me?

Upon meeting with Rolf it was obvious that he would be a good fit for our project, as he not only had the necessary expertise in ExpressionEngine web development, but had the work ethic and communication skills to be able to carry on the work in a collaborative environment which included graphic designers, end users, IT staff, and a committee of administrators.

How has your website changed your business?

We have successfully been able to distribute the management of our mission-critical web content to those in the College with the most intimate knowledge of the information to be displayed.  This has resulted in more timely and appropriate information for our students, and a more professional presence for the College on the internet.

What are your future plans for your website?

We continue to expand the services offered to our students through our website with features such as portals, discussion forums, simple e-commerce, and online applications.

What was it like working with me?
